Dan Verge, originally from Island Pond, is presently faced with a life-threatening disease and is in dire need of receiving a kidney transplant. He has been on dialysis for the past three years, necessary every other day, due to complications from diabetes. A father of two grown children, his wife Sarah has been by his side throughout the whole ordeal. It is Dan’s hope to be able to complete construction on his new home in Island Pond, which he has always considered to be home. Dan has been on the waiting list for a transplant for the past two years. The family’s intention is to use these funds for expenses incurred during this process. His mother Dale’s beautiful watercolor and acrylic landscapes and wildlife paintings will be donated for this cause. A variety of paintings will be available, either for your choice of donation, or at a specified price. The artwork will be on view at the American Legion’s Total Eclipse Breakfast from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Sunday, April 7th. You can also call Dale at 802-723-5990 for more information.

The recent snow has made parking a bit more challenging due to the soft ground conditions we will be experiencing as it is melting on Sunday and Monday. Below are two maps of available parking areas. Unfortunately, due to the soft conditions and limited paved parking lots, we are unable to host campers and RVs.
